Background:

Sponsors required multiple Pakistan sites to be equiped with medical refrigerators. Meditrade Solutions International was appointed to find a solution on the backdrop of limited supply of refrigerator brands, and a unique market environment.

Challenge:

Pakistan has seen an increase of clinical trials over the past decade, enabled by an improved regulatory framework. Trial activities are expected to increase over the next years. This stands against the challenge of a research infrastructure that requires significant investment. The price sensitivity of the local commercial market leads to low investment of international manufacturers and hence only few medical equipment manufacturers sell their products in the market, often without keeping stock in the market. Therefore, the choice of equipment and local support is limited.
